Facilities at Camp Wanocksett are available for use between September 1 and June 1. All other dates require special arrangements.

Cancelation Policy

  • Reservations canceled at least 7 – 10 business days prior to scheduled arrival date:
    • Service Center must be notified and fee is transferable but not refundable.
  • Reservations canceled at least 2 – 6 days prior:
    • Service Center must be notified and fee is neither transferable nor refundable (unless cabin is rented by another unit).
  • Reservations canceled with 0 – 1 day notice:
    • Camp Ranger must be notified using the camp phone number (603-563-8550) and fee is neither transferable nor refundable.
  • Cancellations due to extreme weather: Fee refundable – With notification
  • Any refunds exclude a $10.00 Service charge. (pertains to cabins – campsites excluded)

Facility Use Policy

  1. Units must check-in and check-out with the Ranger or CampMaster before entering, using, or leaving camp or any facility.
  2. Prior permission, obtained from the Service Center, is required to use any facility.
  3. Tour permits are required from out-of-council units only. Units are responsible for insurance.
  4. Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, fireworks or firearms of any kind are not allowed on council property or at any BSA camp facility (BSA Nat’l Policy)
  5. Open fires require the permission of the Ranger or CampMaster. Suitable fire-fighting equipment must be on hand at all times.
  6. All areas must be kept clean and in good condition Trash is the unit’s responsibility. A fee of $2.00/bag will be assessed for the use of the camp dumpster and is to be paid to the Ranger or CampMaster.
  7. Units are responsible for and will be billed for all damages to equipment, facilities, trees, etc., including carving on tables and buildings.
  8. All cabins are equipped with smoke detectors as required by State Law and BSA Policy. Tampering with, damaging or disabling smoke detectors in cabins may lead to dangerous conditions and is strictly prohibited.
  9. Flames of any type are not allowed in tents or shelters. All flammables shall be checked in with Ranger or CampMaster (BSA National Policy)
  10. Cabins are equipped with fire extinguishers for emergency use only. A fee will be charged for the replacement or recharging of expended fire extinguishers.
  11. Wood should be left for next group. Cut wood only with prior approval of Ranger or CampMaster. Please, no cutting or damaging live trees.  Do not bring firewood into camp to help prevent the spread of invasive species. 
  12. Use of the Waterfront or any of its facilities (swimming, rowboats, canoes, etc) requires prior approval from the Service Center. Use requires an adult trained in BSA’s Safe Swim Defense Plan or equivalent and that this certification be available at all times and shown to Ranger or CampMaster prior to using any of the facilities.
